Arising out of the European Agency Worker Directive, these regulations first came into force on 1st October 2011 and are designed to ensure that, from day one of their assignment, all agency workers have the same access to communal facilities (such as canteens, parking spaces, on site gyms etc) and information on internal job opportunities as direct employees.
